Health Screening Programs PDF Print E-mail
Health assessments provide the opportunity for employees to discover their own individual health status and for the organization to gather aggregate data regarding health risks in a manner that assures individual privacy.

Health Risk Assessments (HRA)

  • HRAs assess an employee's current lifestyle habits and health experiences. An individual profile is compared to the North American population and provides suggestions for ways an employee can improve their current health status and reduce health risks for the future with aggregate results provided to the employer to help assess risk areas.
    • A 3rd-party assessment tool can be selected specifically to meet the strategic objectives and budget of the organization. Alternatively, many organizations choose to design and implement their own assessment tools. We can help in this design plan or recommend the appropriate tool for your organization.

Cardiovascular Risk Screenings

  • Periodic screening events can help employees in the early detection of heart disease (Canada’s #1 killer) and help determine the need for more comprehensive programs on the prevention of cardiovascular illnesses and disease.
    • Within a 10-minute session, our registered nurses will take resting heart rates, blood pressure, total cholesterol and blood glucose readings. They will offer recommendations on how an employee might change (improve) their results, as appropriate.

Body Composition Assessments

  • Clinics utilize a specially designed scale which offers bioelectrical impedence analysis (BIA) to measure body weight, percent body fat, muscle mass, visceral fat and hydration levels. We also measure waist girth and hip girth to provide a waist/hip ratio. Body mass index (BMI) measure can also be calculated within this 10-minute session.
